This episode went through quite a few rewrites- this joke was something that originated with CH Greenblatt and William Reiss in the animatics room. It was getting late and we were all pretty delirious at this point.

There is some great storytelling advice in this interview with Brad Bird on KCRW’s “The Treatment”, most notably “The Burden of Expectation”, Relating=engaging the audience, be specific- being general is boring, and the “plausible impossible”. I could go on. A lot of great stuff in just 30 minutes. Enjoy!!
